Lazarus,
Days and Details of Death and Devils
Kristina S. Baker
Lazarus
In the Bible, Jesus raised Lazarus four days after death. In modern medicine, Lazarus syndrome is the spontaneous return of circulation through the heart after failed attempts of resuscitation. Sometimes it occurs days after death, and it is still unexplainable with only a dozen documented cases. This piece questions the suspense of belief and our constant longing and desire for proof before faith.

Days and Details of Death and Devils
A multi-year recipient of the Forbes “Most Miserable City” award, this triptych explores its Country Club community juxtaposed with the high drug use environment, fading faith with growing mental illness among the Catholic school youth, and the dissonance and disconnect of the generation who came early before the era.
